Abstract

The harvest area of corn kernels in 2024 reached 210.59 thousand hectares, a decrease of 0.52 thousand hectares or 0.25 percent compared to the harvest area in 2023 of 211.11 million hectares.
The production of dry corn kernels with a water content of 14 percent in 2024 was 1.37 million tons, an increase of 30.61 thousand tons or 2.28 percent compared to 2023 which was 1.34 million tons.
The potential harvest area of dry corn kernels for the January-April 2025 period is estimated to reach 58.82 thousand hectares, with the potential production of dry corn kernels with a water content of 14 percent of 0.38 million tons.
