Abstract

The rice harvest area in 2024 is estimated to be around 419.09 thousand hectares, an increase of 12.98 thousand hectares or 3.20 percent compared to the rice harvest area in 2023 which was 406.11 thousand hectares.

Rice production in 2024 is estimated to be 2.15 million tons of GKG, an increase of 0.06 million tons of GKG or 3.19 percent compared to rice production in 2023 which was 2.09 million tons of GKG.

Rice production in 2024 for population food consumption is estimated to be around 1.24 million tons, an increase of 0.04 million tons or 3.19 percent compared to rice production in 2023 which was 1.20 million tons.
