West Nias economy in 2021 will increase by 2.26 percent. An increase compared to 2020 which increased by 1.66 percent.
Based on the production approach, the business field with the highest growth was achieved by the electricity and gas procurement business sector at 4.97 percent, followed by the information and communication business sector at 4.53 percent, as well as the wholesale and retail trade business field; repair of cars and motorcycles by 3.35 percent.
Three business fields that give a dominant role to the GRDP of West Nias Regency according to business fields in 2021 are: agriculture, forestry, and fishery business fields by 54.20 percent; wholesale and retail trade, repair of cars and motorcycles by 13.05 percent; and the construction business sector by 9.22 percent.
When viewed from the expenditure approach, the component with the highest growth was the component of changes in inventory at 5.91 percent, followed by the inter-regional export component at 4.81 percent and LNPRT consumption at 3.20 percent. Meanwhile, the government consumption component contracted by 0.02 percent.
Based on the expenditure side, the import component between regions gave the largest contribution, amounting to 91.83 percent; following the household consumption component of 76.14 percent; and the export component between regions by 55.73 percent.
In nominal terms, the GRDP of West Nias Regency in 2021 based on current prices reached Rp. 2,019.88 billion and the GRDP of West Nias Regency in 2021 at constant prices reached Rp. 1,285.66 billion.
