Abstract

• West Nias' economy in 2023 will increase by 3.72 percent. Experiencing quite good growth from 3.01 percent in 2022.
• Based on the production approach, the business field with the highest growth was achieved by the Processing Industry business field at 8.47 percent, followed by the Mining and Quarrying business field at 7.65 percent, the Accommodation and Food and Drink Provision business field at 6.77 percent, the Construction at 6.43 percent; and Information and Communication by 6.00 percent.
• Four business fields that contribute greatly to the GRDP of West Nias Regency according to business fields in 2023 are: Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries business fields at 53.65 percent; Wholesale and Retail Trade business fields; Car and Motorcycle Repairs by 13.44 percent; Construction by 9.65 percent; as well as Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security at 8.24 percent.
• When viewed from the expenditure approach, the growth of the four expenditure components in 2023 is the Government Consumption Expenditure (PKP) component of 4.37 percent; followed by the Household Consumption Expenditure (PKRT) component of 3.86 percent; and the Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB) component is 3.78 percent. Meanwhile, the LNPRT Consumption Expenditure component only grew by 2.75 percent.
• In terms of expenditure, the PKRT component makes the largest contribution, namely 76.25 percent; followed by the PMTB component of 27.32 percent; and the PKP component is 23.96 percent. Meanwhile, the contribution of LNPRT Consumption Expenditures is only 4.06 percent.

• In nominal terms, the GRDP of West Nias Regency in 2023 based on current prices reached IDR 2,336.51 billion and the GRDP of West Nias Regency in 2023 based on constant 2010 prices reached IDR 1,373.71 billion.
